As I have always tried to be honest with you all. I would like to say that you people ask us to teach. You say, “come back to the West and share that knowledge that Allaah has blessed you all with.” But when we come back we mostly get emotional support. And even in that, everytime some scandal comes wherein we are being tested many of you all leave us flat. You want us to sacrifice but you are not willing to even be bothered. You ask us to teach class and you only come half of the time or don’t even prepare. This has to change. The Prophet said that knowledge will disappear through the disappearance of the people of knowledge. Those possessing authenic old-fashioned Islaamic training and cultivation are rare in the world today and even rarer in the West. Get it before its gone. (Abu Taubah)

a busy week subhanaAllah, mentally busy! Lots of reminders of the Power of Allah and ‘His’ plans, mashaAllah. Du’as, du’as and more du’as for those brothers and sisters around me who have been tested, alhamdulillah ‘ala kulli hal!! Love you all for the sake of Allah!!
Whenever Allah Intends Good For Someone He Test ThemAbu Huraria narrated Allah’s Messenger said, “If Allah intends good for someone , He test them with trials”
ExplanationThis hadith points to the reward for demonstrating patience. “If Allah intends good for someone”, He test them with a calamity in order to reveal whether or not this person will respond with patience or discontentment. The words, “He tests them with trials” are general in meaning, but they are further explained by other aahadith more specific in their meanings.
Simply stated, for whomever Allah intends good for, He test the believing man or woman with adversity. If they are patient, in anticipation of a reward from Allah, the end result of their struggle is good.
In spite of being tested with many trials, there are many people who are not patient. As expected, their adversity reaps no benefit for them. Allah often test the disbelievers with calamities as well. However, during these trials, they continue along the path of disbelief and in the end they die in a state of disbelief. Clearly, Allah did not intend any good for them.
As Allah has decreed, struggle and hardship are atonement for sin and an elimination of bad deeds. To have one’s sins removed or bad deeds erased is without a doubt, a good thing for the believer. This is Allah’s intent in testing His servants with adversity. Most of the trials that you undergo deal with worldly matters that may last for days. However, as the days go by, your hardship eases. Not so in the Hereafter. The pain and suffering are permanent. We seek refuge in Allah from the Hell-fire. Whenever Allah removes your sins through these trials, then that is good for you.

I will miss the feeling of knowing I can count on you at any time of the day or night.
I will miss not being able to help you in ANY way I can and/or whenever you need! Just as a family!
I will miss baking biscotti and chocolate cakes for you!

A Shock!

Assalamu alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh,
yesterday morning I had to go out. I was a bit scared to be honest. Going out on my own with the kids after all that! I had to, anyway, hubby not around so no chance to have his help, mashaAllah.
So the kids and I got ready and off we went mashaAllah. I was wondering about the neighborhood, how it was going to ‘look like’ and ya Allah! It shocked me! SubhanaAllah! This is what I saw as soon as I stepped outside of my building! The sky was cloudy, 2 cars… well what was left of the 2 cars.. were ‘parked’ too…. I was shocked! I had my eyes full of tears! 2 police officers standing at each side of the building, obviously it’s a limited area now. My thoughts went to those Muslims who live this every day, see this every day and every where in their countries.. subhanaAllah! May Allah help them, really!
London Riots – Ramadhaan 2011

Assalamu alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh,
I haven’t been checking the news on line for a while, not even when logging into my yahoo email. It was yesterday that I understood what was going on, when my husband told me that all the shop down our road were forced to close at 7pm by the police… my face: ???
Something was going on, some violence spread all over the city of London, I checked on line and finally understood. In short: ‘angry youth’ breaking ‘everything’, ya Allah! May Allah guide them for real!! And we are not just talking about throwing stones at the police (which is stupid anyway!) but setting shops, houses and cars on fire! I mean, look at this photos:

Last night I had a couple of sweet sisters who sent me a text, barakaAllahu fikunna! Making sure I was staying at home and that my family and I were fine, alhamdulillah! ‘Isha and Taraweeh prayer were cancelled as the riots were just under the masjid by maghrib time! Infact, it took some time for the brothers to get back home after the prayer, the police was blocking everything. I just hope all our brothers and sisters in London are fine and safe inshaAllah! And won’t get involved in this STUPID acts, especially ‘our youth’!!!
